Eligibility Requirements

 

Who is eligible for Ryan White Services?
In order to receive any Ryan White Part B services, you must complete an eligibility process and be determined eligible. In order to be eligible for Ryan White services:

  • You must be HIV positive.
  • You must live in Florida.
  • You must be low-income.
  • You cannot be receiving the same service from Medicaid or private health insurance.

 

How do I apply?
If you live in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee or St. Lucie County, you should call Project Response at (800) 880-0679 to schedule an eligibility appointment.

Please bring the following information to the appointment so that the staff can help you expedite the process.

  • Documentation of a confirmed HIV infection (lab results)
  • Proof of living in Florida (Photo ID, Utility Bill with local address)
  • Documentation of income (paycheck stubs, filed tax return, letter)
  • A completed application for Ryan White services. Download the Application.

 

What if I don’t have all the documentation?
It’s okay. Bring the documents that you do have to your appointment to get the process started. Remember: bringing all the documentation will quicken the eligibility process.

 

How often is eligibility determined?
In order to continue receiving Ryan White services, you must complete the eligibility process every 6 months. If there are changes in your income or health insurance status, you must contact your case manager to report the changes.
